Extracurricular Activities

Our school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities to enhance students’ learning experiences beyond the classroom.

ECAs provide opportunities for students to explore their interests, discover new talents, and develop new skills while building relationships with their peers. From sports teams to clubs, music and arts programs, and community service projects, our ECAs offer something for every student to get involved in and make the most of their secondary school years.

Writers Club

The Writers Club, led by Sir Daniel Oguma and the English Department, is a vibrant part of our school's extra-curricular activities. Meeting every Monday from 12:45 PM to 1:15 PM, this club provides a dynamic platform for students to enhance their writing skills, stimulate creativity, and build public speaking confidence. Additionally, it fosters a rich reading culture through exposure to a diverse range of literature.

This student-centric forum creates an ideal environment for literary exploration and the development of effective communication skills.

Science Club

The Science Club, under the guidance of Sir Deepak and Sir Paul Omondi, is an essential part of our school's academic enrichment activities. Meeting every Tuesday during lunch break, this club strives to equip students with scientific knowledge and skills, preparing them to be future leaders committed to environmental protection and national development through science and technology.

It offers relevant activities and experiences to instil scientific values and foster leadership qualities, enabling students to contribute effectively towards environmental conservation and scientific progress.

Aston Villa Girls Football Club

The Aston Villa Girls Football Club, led by Mr Cyrille Agyemang, convenes every Tuesday to Thursday from 3:15 PM to 4:30 PM. This club is dedicated to training aspiring footballers, providing them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the sport. With a competitive spirit, one of the club's main objectives is to bring home at least one trophy for the school.

This club is the perfect platform for girls who are passionate about football and wish to contribute to our school's sporting success.

Heritage Club

The Heritage Club, spearheaded by Ms Sabrina Watts and Ms Emily Mang'uu, plays a significant role in our school's extracurricular ecosystem. Convening fortnightly on Thursdays from 2:45 PM to 3:30 PM, this club's central mission is to celebrate and preserve the unique cultural heritage of Seychelles. Through a variety of educational activities, students are encouraged to embrace their cultural roots and understand the importance of cultural preservation.

Young Programmers Computer Club

The Young Programmers Computer Club, led by Ms Belinda Valmont, Ms Davillia Philoe, and Ms Hellen Muturi, meets every Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 PM. This club is a vibrant hub for students interested in the world of coding and programming. It provides opportunities to explore various simple coding software, allowing students to learn the basics of computer programming in a collaborative environment.

The club encourages members to create and share their own games, podcasts, posters, websites, and animated stories, with a primary focus on creating game or cartoon applications using Scratch 3.0 or other online programming software. It's not just about coding, though; the club also fosters critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and exposes club members to inspiring role models in the tech industry through interactive activities and engaging coding tutorials.

The Lospitalite Club, managed by a dedicated team of teachers including Ms Nan Julie, Ms Davilia Philoe, Mr Winston Barbe, Ms Chantelle Ragain, and Ms Juliet Jackson, gathers every Tuesday at 2:45 PM. The club focuses on raising students' awareness of the significant role that the tourism industry plays in society. It also aims to pique students' interest in pursuing careers in this vibrant and dynamic field.
